The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials in medicine, industry, agriculture, education and research in Ghana. This is to ensure the protection of people and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation.

Job Title: Regulatory Officer – Emergency Preparedness
The candidate will assist with the planning and response to emergencies, be responsible for the conduct of trainings and exercises on emergencies, and will be involved in the review and assessment of all necessary documentation from licensees on emergency preparedness and response. The position will also involve the development of regulatory documents for licensees and collaboration with disaster management teams at the national level on nuclear and radiological emergency arrangements. Additionally, the position will assist to provide advice and ensure the enforcement of regulatory requirements during response to emergencies.
Minimum of Masters in disaster, emergency or risk management or other related subjects.
